How to Get Linen Scraps in Hytale

To get Linen Scraps in Hytale, you need to find the Skeletons that wander around the biomes in the game. The most reliable ones in the early game appear to be the Skeleton Fighter. This is the skeleton which you can see wandering around with the brown garb over its chest, and that wanders around with the torch at night.

These can drop between 1-2 Linen Scraps per kill, along with Bone Fragments. It does mean you’ll need to kill quite a lot as you wander around to find your armor pieces.

You can also grab them from random chests you find around the world. Check the Skeleton archer camps, for example, as they often have chests hidden with basic materials inside. You can also go to ancient ruins and forts, where you may find them in chests as well. Though, these are less reliable and randomized to a degree.

Where to Use Linen Scraps

Linen Scraps are primarily used to craft the big workbench, which is much later in the game. It allows you to make the Arcanist’s bench, so that’s your end game farming that you want them for. Meanwhile, they are also used for some early-to-mid-game armor and weapons too, so you will gradually pick them up where you can.

Linen Scraps are used in the following recipes:

  • Arcanist’s Bench x30
  • 3 Linen Scraps required per Tier 2 weapons craft at the Blacksmith Anvil, including bows, battleaxes, maces, swords, and daggers
  • 3, 4, 6(iron chest piece), or 7(thorium chest piece) Linen Scraps required at the Armorer’s bench for various Iron and Thorium armor parts and shield crafts
  • 2 Linen Scraps for a Repair Kit

For the armor and weapons, you’ll often need several ingots of Iron or Thorium per craft, alongside Light Leather, too. It makes it a needed item for some of the beginner and more mid-game focused crafting materials in the game.
