Nokia has announced that it is joining with Intel as a main sponsor of this year’s Leipzig Game Convention Developer’s Conference.
A representative from Nokia will be giving a keynote speech at the GCDC mobile conference, and at GCDC Night, the company will be showcasing its new lineup of N-Gage titles. “We are proud to be a platinum sponsor for the third year running as well as the exclusive sponsor of GCDC Night,” said Diarmuid Feeny, Nokia’s Games Business Manager. “With the arrival of our new N-Gage platform later this year, GCDC 2007 is at an important time for us.”
Frank Sliwka, GCDC Project Director, said, “Nokia is a key partner for GCDC and their support consistently enables us to put forward the best and most relevant programme for our attendees.”
The Games Convention Developers Conference is the largest game design and development conference in Europe. The conference is held in the same complex as the Leipzig Games Convention, typically just before the opening of the main show. The Leipzig GC, first held in 2002, is an annual event and one of the largest games events in the world. In 2006, the conference attracted 183,000 visitors, 2600 journalists and 368 exhibitors from 25 countries.
GCDC 2007 is running from August 20-22. More information is available at the conference web site.
