Ridley Scott Returns (Again) to Alien Universe in Alien – Covenant

This article is over 7 years old and may contain outdated information

In space, no one can hear you scream.

It was all the way back in 1979 that Alien was released – a groundbreaking sci-fi/horror movie that influenced several movies after its release and kickstarted a franchise that’s still living on today. The next installment is Alien: Covenant, which is directed by the man who started the series: Ridley Scott.

You may remember Scott as the man who tried to reinvigorate the movie franchise with Prometheus, even if that movie only kind of, a little bit, barely touched on the Alien portion of its existence. Covenant, meanwhile, is a full-blown Alien movie, although it is still technically a sequel to Prometheus. Will it fully bridge the gap between the Prometheus and Alien? We shall see.

Alien: Covenant is scheduled to be released May 19, 2017.
