Want a crack at participating in the closed beta for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei online MMORPG? Now’s your chance!

Whether you’re keen to snag bragging rights or are merely hoping to get an early hands-on preview of Aeria Games’ forthcoming Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online MMORPG, it’s time to get a move on. The free online MMO publisher is now accepting applications from North American and European gamers seeking to participate in the closed beta which kicks off on Dec. 1.

Based on the same universe in Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei series (including spinoffs Persona, Devil Summoner, and Digital Devil Saga), SMT: Imagine Online will feature real-time combat and magic, demons that can be used in battle or fused to create new breeds, and extensive futuristic, fashion-based character personalization, among numerous other interactive and special elements. When officially launched, the full release will follow Aeria’s free-to-play business model. Registration and membership will be free, while the MMORPG will be funded through micro-transactions that allow players to purchase unique items in the game.

Applications will be accepted right up until Dec. 1. A select number of applicants will then be chosen to participate in the beta test. Gamers fluent in other languages have already been able to play the online game for some time, but this will be the first time the online MMORPG is available in English. Interested? Sign up at the game’s official site.
