Sony Updates European Site

Sony has launched MyPSN, adding new functionality to its European site.

The new section on the site integrates various elements from the PlayStation Network and allows users to manage their friends, view the games they’ve played, take part in special events and make a Portable ID, a gamer card-like graphic that can be embedded into forums or websites.

Currently, the Portable IDs are a little on the light side when it comes to useful information, but Sony say that in time your Portable ID will “evolve” to feature trophies and achievements.

Comparisons between MyPSN and Xbox Live are inevitable, especially with the recent updates applied to Xbox and Games for Windows Live, and while Microsoft still has the edge at the moment, Sony is certainly closing the gap.
