Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Teaser Trailer Revealed, Launching in 2023

During Star Wars Celebration 2022, Respawn Entertainment revealed the teaser trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which will launch sometime in 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S. The trailer reveals little, but the game is set five years after Fallen Order and points to an interesting path ahead for series protagonist Cal Kestis. Played by Cameron Monaghan, Kestis seems to have new foes to face after regaining his Force powers and lightsaber skills in the last game. Take a look for yourself in the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor teaser trailer below.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order arrived at a time when recent Star Wars games had disappointed fans. The project was a huge success both critically and commercially, so a sequel had been expected. Respawn intends to bring “more dynamic Jedi combat and cinematic storytelling” this time around, and it has shared a few additional details on the game:

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor picks up five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order. Cal must stay one step ahead of the Empire’s constant pursuit as he begins to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy. Accompanied by his trusty companion BD-1, Cal will meet and ally himself with an array of unique and interesting characters on his journey. Jedi: Survivor will expand on the series’ dynamic combat in new and innovative ways. In order to survive, Cal must learn new skills and grow his connection with the Force.

A report had arrived last month that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor would launch next year and skip last-gen consoles, and today, that information has all proven correct. Meanwhile, on the TV front, Star Wars Celebration has also revealed the Andor teaser trailer, The Mandalorian season 3 release date info, and the announcement of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
