The Dark Pictures: Little Hope Receives Official Reveal Trailer

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

The Dark Pictures: Little Hope, the next chapter in Supermassive Games’ interactive thriller series, has been given an official reveal trailer. The two-minute trailer serves as the first update fans have received since the game was informally announced as a stinger at the end of the team’s previous game, The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan. In anticipation of its summer 2020 release, you can watch the Little Hope trailer below.

When it comes to Little Hope, Supermassive and publisher Bandai Namco have one message: “What happens in the past never stays buried.” From stories of a town plagued by its fear of witchcraft to real-life horrors, the small-town setting looks to hold its fair share of dark mysteries.

Besides giving off more creepy vibes and dim-lit settings, today’s Little Hope trailer reminds us that Black Mirror: Bandersnatch and Midsommar actor Will Poulter will play a part in the story of Little Hope. Supermassive has been teasing character roles over on The Dark Pictures Twitter account, with a teaser for Poulter’s character, Andrew, listing some of his traits.

Little Hope was revealed as the second in a series of potentially eight games, with Supermassive CEO Pete Samuels saying the team has “so many different elements of horror we can choose from.” If we look at Little Hope’s reveal relative to Man of Medan’s launch, first information regarding the third chapter in The Dark Pictures Anthology could reasonably come before the end of 2020.

Little Hope is set to release sometime during the summer for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
