Modders rejoice! The Fallout 4 Creation Kit is now widely available!

The closed beta for the Fallout 4 Creation Kit has come and gone, and now Bethesda is opening the mod tools up to all comers.

The Creation kit is free to download through the Bethesda launcher, and they’ve provided documentation in the form of an online wiki.

If you want to try the Steam beta of the 1.5 update, here’s what you need to do.

  • Log into Steam
  • Right Click on Fallout 4 in your Library
  • Select Properties
  • Select Betas
  • A drop down menu will appear. Select beta
  • Wait a few minutes and Fallout 4 should update
  • When done, Fallout 4 should appear as Fallout 4 [Beta] in your Library

In more good news, Bethesda’s post also states that mods will be coming to Xbox One in May, and PS4 in June. It’s great to see the joy of mods headed to more gamers. All you’ll need is a account and the desire to see some crazy stuff. Now if one of you will just make the mods we really want to see.
