Original GoldenEye Devs Flattered By Remake

When you’re remaking a classic game, getting the thumbs up from its original developers is a pretty big deal. When that classic game is GoldenEye, it’s even more significant. Former Rare developer and current head of Crytek UK Karl Hilton said that that Activision’s verson looked very “authentic,” and was flattered that people still loved GoldenEye so much. (link)

Plants vs. Zombies: Live in Concert

Ok, so it’s not strictly speaking a concert, but it’s certainly live. PvZ composer Laura Shigihara got herself a webcam, and so decided to record a live version of her song “There’s a Zombie On Your Lawn”, with help from game creator Gearge Fan and cat Metroid. How do you make Nolan North swear? You hand him a script that he gets really into and then have it end. According to the former creative director of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, Patrice Désilets, the game’s cliff-hanger ending made the voice actor swear out loud in dismay. “He’s really into it,” said Désilets. “Which is great.” (link)
