32 teams will be invited to Hollywood for the event, with the winners taking home $100,000 each.

Activision and Microsoft’s Xbox team has just announced a new Black Ops 2 tournament taking place in April with a whopping $1 million purse. And this showdown isn’t just for pro teams; If you have a crew that you think can beat the best of the best, you’re welcome to register for no cost via the tournament’s official website.

Throughout February, teams can compete in online league play to improve their ranking. When the month comes to a close, the top eight teams will be invited to Hollywood where the final head-to-head matchups will take place. The rest of the 32-team tournament bracket will be populated with players from MLG’s 2013 Pro Circuit event in Dallas, as well as groups from the ESL’s European Finals, both of which take place in March. Players in Asia, Australia, and Brazil will also be able to qualify for seats at the event, though the region-specific details aren’t yet available.

When the dust settles, the top 4-person team will take home $400,000, 2nd place will net $200,000, and 3rd will be awarded $120,000. The rest of the prize pool is split up amongst the remaining top 8 teams.
