Kickstarter Darling Epic Card Game In Stores Today

It made a big splash on Kickstarter just four months ago, and now Epic is available in stores.

Epic has all the hallmarks of a great game – it’s put together by positive things to say about it back in July.

To those familiar with games such as Magic: The Gathering, Epic should not take long to grasp. Perhaps the most intriguing difference in how resources are generated – there are no “Land” analogues in your deck. Instead, each player gains one gold coin at the start of their turn, and no card in the game costs more than that. Every card in your hand is playable each turn.

As you can see in the gallery above, there are four factions in the game (though you aren’t limited to just one when constructing your deck): Good, Evil, Sage, and Wild, the last of which will henceforth be known as the Dinosaur faction.

The Youtube tutorial no doubt does a better job explaining the rules of the game than I can:

Are there any backers for Epic Card Game at the Escapist? Anyone here regretting not backing this when they had the chance?
