Where’s Radio?

Some of you may have noticed that it’s been a few weeks since the last installment of Escape Radio, and that we’ve been unnecessarily mum on the subject. Sorry about that. Sadly, I can assure you that there is no criminal conspiracy involved. As much fun as that sort of thing might be.

The truth is, as I mentioned in a previous post, I got busy and went out on some field assignments, which precluded my working on the show for a couple of weeks. And then we got busy making new editorial calendars and such, and then Shawn went to India (damn him). So there’s been a confluence of things going on here, all of which have added up to a complete lack of Radio. Again, sorry about that.

So what now?

Good question. I wish I could tell you an exact date on which you will be able to expect a new episode of Radio, but I can’t. Not only are the time constraints unpredictable, but we’ve also decided to take advantage of this forced hiatus to look at new ways of doing the show and integrating some expanded content.

Your feedback, is invaluable in this regard. What’s missing from the field of game podcasts? What makes a podcast special in the way that The Escapist is special? Which developers do we most want to hear from? And about what? These questions will be on our minds as we ponder the future of Escape Radio, so if you have answers, let us know.

As to the question of when we’ll be back on the air, all I can say is I don’t know yet, but I’ll post about it here as soon as I do. Thanks for listening, caring and waiting.
