Microsoft Game Studios has announced that Gears of War for Windows has gone gold.

Developed by Epic Games, Gears of War is already a major hit on the Xbox 360, with over 4 million copies sold. The Windows version of the game will offer even more intense action and gameplay by including not only all the original Xbox 360 content as well as all previously released downloadable content, but also five new campaign chapters including a battle with the fearsome Brumak beast, three new multiplayer maps and a “King of the Hill” multiplayer game. An included game editor will allow Windows players to generate unlimited new levels for even more action.

The game will support either mouse and keyboard controls or a Windows-enabled Xbox 360 controller. Rated M (Mature), Gears of War for Windows will hit the shelves on November 6.
