NCAA Football Coming to Wii

Electronic Arts has announced that NCAA Football 09 will be the first title in the series to be released for the Wii.

While it will return to the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 and PSP, it has been discontinued for the first Xbox.

A “family play” mode for the Wii will eliminate the need for new players to adjust to the console’s controls, a feature already included in Electronic Arts’ other sports offerings.

Setting apart the Wii version is a voting contest to determine which school mascot will appear on the game’s box art.

No release date was announced but traditionally the series has hit shelves in July.
