Microsoft Issues Xbox One: Invitation Trailer

This is an invitation from the all-in-one, to everyone all over the world.

If ever you’ve dreamt of zombies bursting in on your study hour and dragging you away, this is the Microsoft Xbox One trailer video for you. In a nice touch – especially considering the console’s relatively limited worldwide release – Microsoft goes global, to persuade you that its next generation console is the one you really want in your living room.

Yes, by the way, that is Zachary Quinto, not a lookalike. Microsoft can afford it; it’s alleged that the tech giant is about to spend at least $100 million advertising its Xbone. While the other aspects of Microsoft’s new console do get a look-in, the focus of the trailer is clearly on games, reinforcing the message Microsoft has been trying to send out to customers these last few months.

“This is an invitation to a new generation,” says Microsoft, “here your games and entertainment are no longer separated, but together in one.” Come November, we’ll see whether people buy what Microsoft’s selling. This should be a very interesting Christmas season.
