Walking Dead Game Jam Winner Pays Tribute To The Fallen

Built by two guys over 48 hours featuring original assets? Well done!

The Walking Dead All Out War Game Jam is over, and Kirkman’s chosen a winner: Remember the Fallen, by Joe Kinglake and Bradley Smith. Built within 48 hours and featuring original assets, Remember the Fallen has you search a black-and-white landscape for poppies to leave at grave sites. “An amazing effort that I wouldn’t think is possible in the time allowed,” said Kirkman. “Bravo.”

Most of the other finalists were more direct in their approach to the All Out War scenario, asking the players to build zombie hordes, shoot zombies, shoot other things, and so on. You can get a look at ’em over here, and also get a glimpse at the honorable mentions, the games that didn’t quite cut the mustard. The games you see on that page are playable until January, at which point they move elsewhere.

All finalists receive a Unity Pro license, Steam Greenlight key, and other fun things. Over 140 teams submitted their efforts to the Jam; “a great mix of hilarious concepts, gorgeously executed designs and innovative ideas,” says Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment.
