Zelda‘s Bolero of Fire Heads to the Desert in New Music Video

Violinist Taylor Davis has released a new music video for her cover of Bolero of Fire from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

While The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was popular and revolutionary for a number of reasons, one of its most powerful elements was easily its music. Music was very much an integral part of the game’s experience and, in turn, left a mark on fans just as lasting as its world and story.

Take violinist Taylor Davis, for instance. In 2013, Davis released an entire album based on songs from The Legend of Zelda, with a good portion of its tracks coming from Ocarina of Time. Since its release she’s put out several music videos based on her covers of the classic soundtracks. The most recent of these is a video showcasing her version of the volcanic tune Bolero of Fire.

Now granted, the video is primarily just Davis playing the song in a desert locale while dressed as Sheik, but honestly, it’s more than enough. The visuals, in my opinion, go really well with Davis’s rendition of the song which, on its own, is well worth a view. Give it a watch and let us know what you think? Does it pay proper tribute to Ocarina of Time or burn out before the end?
