Report: Sleeping Dogs HD Spotted for PS4, Xbox One

UK retailer ShopTo briefly displayed “Sleeping Dogs HD” on their storefront, with a November 21 release date.

Sleeping Dogs was one of the sleeper hits (no pun intended) of 2012, coming out of nowhere and delivering an enjoyable sandbox experience that basically put you right in the middle of a Chow Yun-Fat movie. Now, UK retailer ShopTo may have accidentally spilled the beans on a HD remake for next (current?) gen consoles.

Sleeping Dogs HD was briefly listed on their storefront, as a title for both the PS4 and Xbox One, with a November 21 release date, before being pulled. The picture looks somewhat legit, and ShopTo is a fairly major retailer. We’ve reached out to Square Enix for confirmation.

Last thing we heard from Sleeping Dogs studio United Front Games’ is that they were working on a follow-up to Sleeping Dogs called Triad Wars. It was revealed via an off-screen teaser image in December 2013, but we haven’t really heard anything about it since.

It could very well be that Triad Wars is simply a HD remix of Sleeping Dogs with additional content, which is what ShopTo has leaked. We’ll update this story as we know more.
