I *still* haven”t updated the list, though I”m working on getting that done soon. There”s just so much to do lately, ;o).
The BIG ticket items that I really need are the ones listed under the headers “Things that should be added”. I”ve been getting a lot of axes lately, so most of those are gone and out of the way!
Despite that, I also need you to look for weapons that you might have and check to see if we have images of those weapons in our collection. I will be making a list of “Images we Need” within the next 3 or 4 weeks, but any help now will be very *very* appreciated!
Please send e-mail to me, [email protected] if you are submitting new stuff to go into the database. Here are some guidelines that you should follow when submitting items to me:
[li]If you are submitting an image of the weapon itself, please make sure it IS the weapon, not just the stats. As useful as the numbers are, I cannot use an image of text to showcase the weapon. You don”t have to be camera shy… ;o)
[li]I need ICONS, and LOTS of them! If you are submitting an ICON, make sure I can see it. Also, make sure you are using the default skin for the game, for consistancy of icons in our database.
[li]Please send images in JPEG or GIF formats. The screenshots you take are saved as BMP files by default, and those can severely kill our mail server if too many of them are sent in. JPEG and GIF formats are easier on our server. To save your image as a JPEG or GIF, open the image in the Microsoft Paint program, click File->Save As, and in the bottom list box labelled “Save as type:”, click JPEG or GIF.
[li]Please be sure to submit stats for the weapon you are submitting, either in the image itself or in the e-mail. That makes it easier to add stuff and your name will go up faster that way.
[li]Don”t worry about editing the image if you don”t know how or are not sure. I can take the original and do some magic to make it look just right.
I have been getting many images lately, and I appreciate this a whole lot. Generally, I have the new stuff up within a week of having them submitted. Any time I receive submissions, I will be sure to publically (sp?) thank you for your submission. After all, you”ve done some great work in helping us out. The least we can do for you is recognize you for your efforts.
