Bioshock Slips into Consumer Hands Early

The hotly-anticipated title Bioshock has slipped into the hands of some console-playing customers ahead of schedule.

Anecdotal reports posted to a number of forums and sites, including Joystiq and Ars Technica, report that several Toys ‘R’ Us store locations have released the game already.

This screen capture posted at Joystiq.com shows a shiny Bioshock box cover and Toys ‘R’ Us receipt.

News of the early releases, which follows on the heels of extremely positive initial reviews and user impressions of the demo, set the game publisher’s user boards aflame.

The game is officially set to be released in one week. PC users have yet to see a demo but one has been promised by the developers.
