Brütal Legend Coming in Rocktober

Brütal Legend, the heavy metal action-adventure from Tim Schafer and Double Fine Productions, will be rockin’ you like a hurricane this October.

Brütal Legend will hit the stage on October 13 in North America and October 16 in Europe, Electronic Arts announced today. The game tells the epic story of Eddie Riggs, voiced by Jack Black, “the ultimate roadie” who gets caught up in a struggle between the demon army of the evil emperor Doviculus and the last remains of the enslaved human race. With humanity looking to him for salvation, Eddie does what he does best: He rocks.

“Wooo! Having an official release date is awesome!” said Tim Schafer, the mastermind at Double Fine. “And how cool is it that EA threw down the dough to have the name of an entire month changed to Rocktober?”

I’m not sure if EA has actually made “Rocktober” official or not (I’ll check my calendar later) but it has relaunched the Brütal Legend website (www.brutallegend.com) with all new content including concept art, screen shots, videos and other stuff that’ll keep your head bangin’ and your horns throwin’. Rock!
