Nexon developer Embark Studios, which includes some former key DICE workers, is about to reach 200 active employees and has just shown off a first look at its free-to-play video game. Patrick Söderlund, CEO of the Stockholm-based studio, provided an update post on the studio’s progress so far, speaking on how the team is approaching development and when those interested can expect to see more. If you’re looking for a taste, you can see the stunning glimpse at some early and unfinished third-person gameplay below.

Söderlund, who previously served as CEO of DICE, also announced that this title has moved into full production. He went on to talk about Embark’s design philosophy with this new title: “Our ambition with this game is to combine new and old genres with groundbreaking technical innovation, into something unique and consequential. And now, coming to a point where all this work is starting to manifest itself as a real game, is really exciting.”

Embark will provide further details “in the weeks to come.”

Söderlund revealed Embark in late 2018, with the studio being picked up by Nexon in 2019. In February of 2019, the studio head published another blog post, revealing that the game will be a cooperative free-to-play action game set in the distant future.
