The Guildhall at Southern Methodist University has unveiled a new website with information about its graduate-level videogame development program.
Available at www.guildhall.smu.edu, the new site is customizable for prospective students, high school seniors, industry professionals or alumni. Visitors to the site can register to receive information about admissions, curriculum, job placements and tuition costs, and online forums are also available to registered users.
“Although we wish everyone could just come by SMU and visit our program, we realize our website is our main communications vehicle with the outside world,” said Guildhall founder and executive director Dr. Peter Raad. “That’s why we made our new website customizable for the individual visitor.”
“We have had numerous requests from the industry to provide more efficient ways they could communicate with our students and alumni,” he continued. “With the escalating demand for the best talent, our students and alumni are highly sought after. We expect industry leaders will want to share their views on our Guildhall Journal blog and find ways to work closer with our program.”
The 17-month program offered by the Guildhall at SMU blends theory and practice in game-related coursework, cross-disciplinary team game production and individual work in a student’s chosen area of specialization. Students can work toward a Master of Interactive Technology in Digital Game Development or a Professional Certificate in Digital Game Development. More information is available on the Guildhall at SMU’s new website.
