Mass Effect 4 Is Playable, BioWare Boss Teases On Twitter

BioWare General Manager Aaryn Flynn says he had a wonderful time playing the next Mass Effect game in Montreal.

We don’t really know anything about Mass Effect 4 beyond the fact that it is in the works. We do know that it won’t be connected to the Commander Shepard trilogy, but aside from that the field is wide open. Sequel? Prequel? The Krogan Wars? The Rachni Wars? The reconstruction effort? Ascendant humanism in a post-mass relay universe? Will it even be called Mass Effect 4? Nobody knows, and BioWare sure isn’t saying.

Oh, but they are playing it. “Great time playing the next Mass Effect game in Montreal,” Flynn tweeted earlier today. “Ambitious. Beautiful. Fresh but recognizable. And fun!” And to drive the point home, he tacked on a picture of the BioWare logo laid over what appears to be a planet seen from orbit.

Flynn said nothing more about it, but of course that’s the game: Get us all wound up without actually revealing anything. I’d say it’s a game he plays pretty well – after he’s done playing Mass Effect 4, of course. Thanks, Aaryn.
