Nokia hosts videogame development workshops in China and Japan.
Mobile phone giant and N-Gage manufacturer Nokia will be hosting two events in Beijing and Tokyo on June 12 and 14, respectively, to discuss game development for its upcoming N-Gage platform. Publishers will also get to learn about various distribution models being made available for the N-Gage service, which has already signed EA Mobile and Gameloft to publish titles on the network.
Gregg Sauter, Director of Games Publishing at Nokia, will be talking about the N-Gage business model, its technical features and business opportunities at the shows. Sauter said, “We’re excited to grow our relationships with publishers in China and Japan and give them the opportunity to become deeply familiar with the details of our N-Gage offering. The China and APAC regions are full of potential and extremely important to Nokia. The region is also home to a lot of mobile innovation and well established brands that have incredible potential in other parts of the world through the reach of this platform.”
