The newest episode in Myst Online: Uru Live is being opened to the public tomorrow, the final step before the Uru Live Season Finale in October.
Deception will launch September 8, continuing the expansion of GameTap’s Uru Live franchise. This latest addition will add Guild pubs and continue the storyline, continuing the storyline focused on the D’ni Restoration Council’s efforts to implement a Guild system in the D’ni cavern. The Bahro war plot is also explored further, and a former DRC member returns to the cavern with new information.
Launched in February 2007, Myst Online: Uru Live is the multiplayer component of Cyan’s 2003 release Uru: Ages Beyond Myst. Although cancelled in early 2004 during testing, Cyan announced a partnership with GameTap in 2006 to bring the game back in a slightly modified format, which was officially opened to the public in February 2007. The Myst series, which debuted on the Macintosh in 2003, is a tremendously-influential adventure series and one of the best-selling game franchises of all time, collectively selling over 12 million units internationally.
More information about the game and the new Deception expansion is available at the Myst Online website.
