faker shh in suit

Project AVA makes me ask: Why would you want a waifu anime girl as your desk companion when you can have Faker??

Razer grabbed a lot of attention at CES 2026 by revealing a bunch of AI-powered electronic gadgets. This includes Project AVA, an AI companion that sits on your desk, acting as your virtual assistant in hopes that you become slightly competent at gaming.

Project AVA is meant to help you improve all areas of your life, from tracking your moods and habits to picking out dinner to brainstorming work ideas to offering words of encouragement as you get shot down by a try-hard in Counter-Strike 2.

There are currently five companions to choose from, including a very typical anime-style waifu that they likely think will appeal to all the esports hopefuls out there, especially those who want a Discord kitten or a VALORANT duo to call “His Sage.”

But who would pick this… Jesebel when you can have the GOAT?!

Meet the Project AVA companions, including Faker

Project AVA is still in the works so nothing is final as of this article. However, we can see an overview of what each companion will be like:

  • Ava: The generic and efficient one
  • Kira: The supportive waifu that won’t be disgusted if you pee in a bottle or something
  • Zane: The gamer chad with a positive canthal tilt and hunter eyes
  • Faker: The League of Legends GOAT
  • Sao: An idol that seems to be all business, though I’m sure some dudes will try to convince her to break character and love them

Looks entertaining, so I just pre-ordered mine. However, I know I’ll always rely on the Unkillable Demon King himself, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, to guide me through everyday life. There is nobody I trust more.

I expect others will also be selecting Faker over the anime waifu, but that’s because Faker has become a bit of an anime husbando himself. Case in point: this homoerotic e-book about a person who is clearly meant to be Faker.

Faker is currently a Razer partner, and he has been for years. This has birthed Faker gaming mice and other custom gear. And now, he is becoming an esports and life coach that will tell me to stop ordering takeout and stop dying in ARC Raiders.
