“After being hidden by a sandstorm, the entrance to the Barren Temple has finally been revealed,” the video description from Square Enix states. “Follow the Young Protagonist, who must navigate ancient puzzles, defeat Shades, and confront mysterious, sentient cubes in this extended gameplay look.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen gameplay for NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… though. In December 2020, during The Game Awards, Square Enix showed off a trailer featuring spliced together gameplay footage from different parts of the game.

Square Enix revealed its upgraded version of the 2010 classic action RPG in March last year. If you’ve never heard of the original game, you’ve probably heard of its sequel, NieR: Automata, which was developed by PlatinumGames and launched in 2017.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… is scheduled to arrive on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 23, 2021.
