Phantasy Star Universe Expansion Coming in Autumn

Sega Europe Ltd. and Sega of America, Inc. announced today that an expansion for Phantasy Star Universe called Ambition of the Illuminus will be available on Xbox 360, PS2 and PC in Autumn of 2007.

A new Human Fundamentalist group known as the Illuminus throws the peaceful Gurhal Government into chaos. Players will use custom-made Guardians to explore new levels like the Ruins of Old Rozenom City and the Granigs Mines, battle new enemies, and meet new characters along the way.

This expansion features new gameplay and customization features. There will be new and expanded lobbies for players to commune in, like the Casino Voloyal where players can gamble for casino-only items. There are also a sew of new weapon types, armor, Photon Arts and clothing. Each Guardian’s Rooms are upgraded and offer a greater level of customization with a new grid system that allows players to decorate the walls and place items and furniture wherever they want.

Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus will be available for download on Xbox Live and in stores on PlayStation 2 and PC.
