The resume of a former Monolith artist is fueling speculation that a new addition to the F.E.A.R. franchise may be in the works.
It doesn’t get much thinner than this, but the gang over at Superannuation noticed something interesting on the resume of one Joel Cuellar, who until recently worked as an artist at Monolith. During his time at the studio, Cuellar worked on F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, the Toy Soldiers and Armored Front DLC packs, an unannounced title and something called Project Hades.
What is Project Hades, you ask? We don’t know. Nobody seems to, or at least nobody who’s willing to talk about it at this point. But for obvious reasons, speculation is running rampant that Project Hades is in fact F.E.A.R. 3. The “Project” name ties in nicely with the previous release, “Hades” has an appropriately supernatural ring to it and let’s face it, a new F.E.A.R. game is hardly what anyone would call a big-league shocker.
Warner told CVG that it doesn’t comment on “speculation or rumor,” which isn’t much of a surprise either; we’ve dropped a line to Cuellar himself asking for clarification and will update if and when he gets back to us.
