Android pre-registration has opened for Mario’s first smartphone game.
Android pre-registration for Super Mario Run, the first game developed specifically for mobile devices to feature Nintendo’s iconic plumber-turned-hero, has opened, Nintendo announced on Twitter today.
Android users who pre-register on Google Play will receive a notification once the game is available for download.

Super Mario Run released on December 15 on iOS, and requires a constant internet connection in order to play the game. Within its first four days, the game was downloaded more than 40 million times, breaking the App Store record for downloads in that period of time.
