Doom
The progenitor of the first-person shooter genre, DOOM has been kicking butt and taking names for decades, but had a quiet few years in there after the spookier DOOM 3. Returning with a 2016 reboot, it’s like the series had never been away, as it chainsawed its way to our hearts with its glory kills and redesigned Slayer. In the years since, we’ve got a fantastic 2020 sequel in DOOM Eternal, and a brutal, heavy metal prequel in DOOM: The Dark Ages.
