TGS 2008: Booth Babe Gallery

There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth when E3 decided to do away with the much-beloved tradition of the so-called “booth babes,” scantily-dressed ladies whose sole job it is to attract attention and lure passersby. Thankfully, the organizers of Tokyo Game Show still believe that babes are part of the show experience, and virtually every booth had at least one lovely representative.

I really have to applaud these women for managing to stay cheerful and sparkling throughout the entire day. In addition to being mind-numbingly boring – stand in one spot for hours at a stretch doing nothing but waving and smiling – booth babery is usually pretty hard on the feet. How they avoid becoming homicidal shrews by the end of the day is beyond me.

So take a moment to quietly appreciate the tenacity and dedication of these lovely women as you our TGS 2008 Booth Babe gallery. Even the ones dressed up like some sort of bizarre dog thing.

I must apologize for the quality of some of the shots, as the itty bitty flash on my camera simply couldn’t compete with the cavernous nature of the convention center.
