The First Descendant looks more like Warframe than Anthem thanks to its emphasis on speed and colorful, superpowered beings that use special abilities to shred through oceans of enemies. Specifically, the characters seen in the footage are Lepic, Viessa, Bunny, and Ajax, four Descendants who are fighting back against an alien army led by the villain, Karel. The video might be best described as “organized chaos” thanks to the undeniably interesting world that surrounds the explosive combat.
As for those beta dates, Nexon says the test will take place from October 20 at midnight PDT to October 26 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. Console players are out of luck, however, as this test period will be for Steam users only. There will be 10 characters to choose from in the beta with more information on character classes set to arrive in the future. The First Descendant is said to be an experience that lets players gear up and customize their characters to their heart’s desire. The battle ahead promises giant boss fights and strategic four-player co-op gameplay, but sadly, we’re still waiting to hear about when it will release.
