Blizzard has released the newest map for Overwatch.
Back in December, Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan talked a little bit about Blizzard’s plans for the game in 2017. Those plans included a new map, Oasis, that was scheduled to be released in “very early 2017.” It turns out they weren’t kidding around.
Today, Blizzard released Oasis to all Overwatch players. It’s a new control map that’s inspired by the Arabian Desert. You can expect to see some new things, including jump pads and traffic, of all things. The drivers are all insane, and they will totally run you down.
Oasis has been available on the public test realm servers since November, but today is its first release to all players. In case you missed it, Overwatch was our pick for Game of the Year 2016.
