Unreal Tournament 3 is not likely to make a 2007 release in Europe for the PS3, the development team head said.
Epic Games chief Mark Rein said the release candidate for the game will be finished shortly, but the certification process is going to take more time in Europe.
“We think there’s a very solid shot we’ll get out this year – I don’t know about Europe. Europe’s a problem because the certification process in Europe takes longer,” he said.
“They’re testing all these different languages in all these different countries, so I doubt it’ll be released this year in Europe. But I don’t know. We’ll have to cross our fingers and wait and see,” he said.
The follow-up to the massively popular Unreal Tournament 2004 is due for the PC on November 19, and the Xbox 360 version is slated for sometime next year.
