It’s been a slower news day full of smaller stories, so let’s jump in! The highly anticipated Marvel’s Avengers‘ PC requirements were revealed today, a new G.I. WWE 2K Battlegrounds Will Include Some “Wild” Game Modes

This year, we aren’t getting a traditional WWE 2K game. Instead, WWE 2K Battlegrounds will come in its place, with a much more arcade-style approach. Today, 2K released a new trailer showcasing the game modes available in Battlegrounds, and they seem to be a healthy mix of traditional and off-the-wall. Below are some of the modes that will be available:

  • Campaign
  • Exhibition
  • One on One
  • Tag Team
  • Triple Threat
  • Fatal Fourway
  • Steel Cage
  • Royal Rumble
  • King of The Battleground
  • Online Tournament
  • Battleground Challenge

WWE 2K Battlegrounds will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Stadia on Sept. 18. You can check out its latest trailer below.

A Dragon Ball FighterZ Showcase Will Air This Sunday and Will Feature Game Updates

More Dragon Ball FighterZ news will be headed our way this Sunday, as part of a stream courtesy of Bandai Namco. The showcase will include competitions, new announcements and “an exclusive trailer,” which many are hoping will show off a new character. You can catch the showcase on Aug. 16 at 2 p.m. ET on the official Dragon Ball FighterZ Twitch channel. Check out a tweet from publisher Bandai Namco below for more details.

G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout Is a Team-Based Shooter Headed to All Platforms This Fall

A new team-based third-person shooter in the G.I. Joe universe is headed our way this fall. Titled G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout, this multiplayer-focused shooter will launch for PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on Oct. 13. In it, you’ll be able to participate in a cooperative campaign, as well as competitive PvP modes, while getting to choose from 12 different characters from the series. It will feature Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, and other traditional multiplayer modes for you to enjoy.

Marvel’s Avengers’ PC Specs Have Been Revealed, PC Will Include an Optional 30 GB Texture Pack

As we approach the release of Marvel’s Avengers, players have been wondering about its PC specs. We now know what the minimum and recommended specs are, which you can check out below:

Minimum Spec:     

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: i3-4160 or AMD equivalent
  • 8GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GTX 950 / AMD 270 (min 2GB video ram)
  • DirectX 12
  • 75GB HDD space

  Recommended Spec:     

  • Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K, 3.4 Ghz or AMD Ryzen 51600, 3.2 Ghz
  • 16GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 480, 8GB.
  • DirectX 12
  • 110GB SSD space

It was also noted that capable systems will feature unlocked frame rate, as well as numerous customization options and the ability to switch from mouse and keyboard to controller at any time. Most notably, an optional 30 GB texture pack will be available for PC, so long as your machine can handle it. Marvel’s Avengers will launch on Sept. 4.

Fall Guys Devs Would “Love to Release” It on Other Platforms but Are Focusing on PS4 and PC for Now

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is chugging along, and developer Mediatonic recently reiterated that it would love to bring the battle royale game to other platforms. A tweet from the company reads “We’d love to release on more platforms in the future,” but the developer is only focusing on PS4 and PC for the time being.

On the company’s site, a section devoted to the the possibility of bringing it to other platforms explains “please let us know on Twitter and Discord which platforms you’d like us to release on next – we’d love to see how much demand there is!” Based on its success thus far, it’s a safe bet it’ll come to other platforms at some point.
