Streets of Rage 4 Mr. X Nightmare DLC Adds 3 Playable Characters, New Mode This Year

Streets of Rage 4 is getting new characters and content to play through with its newly announced Mr. X Nightmare DLC. A quick summary of the content can also be found on the Streets of Rage 4 – Mr. X Nightmare Steam page:

The fight continues in Wood Oak City. After the events of Streets of Rage 4, our heroes wanted to prepare themselves for future threats. Axel, Blaze and their mates will start a very special deranged training with the help of Dr. Zan, who built an AI program from the remnants of Mister X’s brain that simulates every kind of danger they could be facing.

Mr. X Nightmare will also treat players to new music from Tee Lopes, the composer featured in other games such as Sonic Mania, League of Legends, and Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom.

If you’re a Streets of Rage 4 fan unwilling to dish out more money on the upcoming DLC, Dotemu has you covered; a separate, free update with additional content will arrive alongside the new paid content. Pricing details for Mr. X Nightmare are unclear, but you can expect it and the free update to launch this year on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
