Dune and Michi, Near where The Golden Gate Bridge used to be (at Night), Modern(?) Times

"I can take Sam, and what do you mean by caves?"

Dune and Michi, Near where The Golden Gate Bridge used to be (at Night), Modern(?) Times

"That's not what I meant," Michi replied hastily. "What I meant was... I had a vision. While I was in..." she motioned to the wrecked and disemboweled tendril-thing on the sand. "... there. It showed me... what this child... Sam, would do later in life. She would... destroy this place. And mine. And she likely wouldn't stop there..."

This was something of a test. Shamans, while rare, were so prevalent in her collective society, whatever they might look like, that one mentioning she had a vision was not only a common occurrence, it was a cause for concern if she didn't. If this person reacted strangely at all to her saying she had a vision, Michi would know that she was nowhere near her home... a frightening prospect.

But she was a Shaman. She would pull through. She had to.

He completely disregarded the thought of her being a psychic and said "Electrocutions usually cause Hallucinations. That and that thing looked like it was designed for vivisection, there's a good chance it was starting to pump you full of narcotics to keep you passive."

The thought came back "How did you..." he pointed at the man on the ground "do that?" he said with a rather hesitant voice.

Leigh, Entrance to a hallway, New York City, Night. Modern(?) Times
This whole thing was beginning to smell seriously off to Leigh. Sure, at first it had just been an excuse to see somewhere new and have some fun, but these coincidences were becoming far too close to home for her liking.
The interruption of a man dressed in the exotic robes like the ones she saw the travelling arabs wear at the markets stalled Leigh's thought processes long enough for whatever doubts she had wither away. This place was probably dangerous.
"Hi there!" She trilled from behind her escort, waving a hand in greeting.

"Hi there!"
Seeing a friendly face, Saoshyan began to frantically motion over his shoulder, and took off back towards the door. He didn't know if the strange duo could help, but he was completely out of ideas himself. He didn't really understand the rotating contraption, having never seen its like, but he hoped one of the pair would be able to help.

She looked back over at the corpse. "I... I didn't. I think it might have been..." She motioned to the broken thing on the sand.

Leigh, Entrance to a hallway, New York City, Night. Modern(?) Times
Intrigued, Leigh grabbed her escort's hand and dragged him along out the door, following the arab man. He had indicated he wanted them to follow and while Leigh wasn't usually in the business of following strange tattooed men, she figured that due to circumstances, she'd be able to get away with it.
She emerged into a large atrium, marble and impressive, but with the jungle clawing at its sides, eager to enter. At end of the room was a revolving door, and a man with his leg caught in the gap. And not only that, strange lizard beasts were slamming against the door, all claws and feathers and snarling teeth. The man's face was contorted with pain.
Leigh acted without thinking. Dropping Brian's hand she ran forward and grabbed the side of the door, easing it off the trapped man. With her spare hand she pulled him out of the door way and then grasped hold of the revolving contraption as the beasts continued to slam into it.

(Sorry for lateness of my postings, was held up with internet issues.)

Aeronwen, In a Mall at Night, Modern Times(?)

"You my dear are in the wrong place in the wrong time." The woman in white and red spoke to her, the wolf gave an answering growl as well.
What was odd was the fact they didn't seem to move their lips, and she heard them rather clearly.
The others in the group looked at the three of them with odd glances, and whispered to each other. if things couldn't get any worse, glass began to shatter, followed by screams and shouts, as pieces pierced and slashed at exposed skin.

The buzzing was coming from the ground floor, and judging that the group around her dissolved in to panic, excluding the wolf and woman. They both still stood stoic and silent, looking at Aeronwen. Glass flying, none seemed to reach the three of them.
(I'll have to speed you along)

(OOC much?)
The sword pierced its chest straight through the rib cage, the weight of the body dragging both Wigbert and blade down. Black ichor seeping from the wound and on to his armor, it let forth a gurgle, like a chuckle.
Arms reach around slower then the speed it displayed before, its claws and sinewy arms looking deadly as ever.

(Sam in your arms is well old enough to eat, speak, walk, and such on her own, just saying. If this was merely a nod to race and species difference then never mind.=P)
Sam looked up at Michi, then to Dune, then at last at her hands.
"Oh no."
Her voice in disbelief and sounding almost foreign in the articulation and age behind it. To Michi it was new, to Dune he recognized the tone as none other then the woman on the ground.
"Miss Blue, mind putting me down?"

"My god... you're Ezekiel!"
Brian shouted out as Leigh pulled the man out, her strength more then a match for the time.
Motioning for Saoshyan to drag Ezekiel to the back room, he ran to the door to help Leigh.
Grabbing from his belts keys, he slotted it in to a small box at the base of the doors.
With a sharp turn, and the sound of hissing, the door locked in place more or less. Still shuddering from every smack and with enough space for Leigh to easily fit her hands on either side, the immediate danger seemed to be over.
---
Groaning in pain Ezekiel looked surprised at someone knowing his name, and reached a hand to Saoshyan for a shoulder to lean on.

Wigbert, Unknown, Night
Wigbert should've seen that one coming, actually. He silently cursed himself for not just moving to the side. Oh well, style points were achieved. He decided to look for a way out of this. The first step involved killing the wolfman, so he set about that job. He activated his powers once more again, full power, and with the brightness cranked up a bit to stun the damn mongrel. The now free to move Wigbert proceeded to place his hand on the lycanthropes forehead, letting loose an arrow.

Michi blinked, but obliged, making sure to keep the girl wrapped up, and in arm's reach. "What's the matter?"

She really wished her mind-reading still worked...

Leigh and Saoshyan, Lobby, New York City, Night. Modern(?) Times
Saoshyan helped Ezekiel up, and helped him hobble to the back room, where the strangely dressed man had gestured for him to go.
He was relieved that the pair had been able to help, and a little bit nervous the woman had been able to pry Ezekiel out so easily. She certainly seemed preternaturally strong. And something about her was simply off. Her legs and arms, though he didn't get a good look at them, seemed... Strange, somehow. Metallic.
He pushed the thoughts away, and helped Ezekiel, who seemed to be in somewhat of a shock, to the back room.

Leigh and Saoshyan, Lobby, New York City, Night. Modern(?) Times
Leigh gaze never left the animals on the other side of the glass. Her metal hands were flush to the door and her circuits sparked with excitement as her mouth lit up with a wide smile.
"What are those things?" She whispered, almost reverently, to Brian.

Dune and Michi, Near where The Golden Gate Bridge used to be (at Night), Modern(?) Times

Dune's gaze drifted back and forth between the unconscious woman on the ground and the little girl.

That isn't Sam

He looked at the little girl "What did you do to Sam?"

Dune and Michi, Near where The Golden Gate Bridge used to be (at Night), Modern(?) Times

Michi looked over at Dune, confused. "I-I didn't do anything to her. What do you mean? Is something wrong?"

Dune and Michi, Near where The Golden Gate Bridge used to be (at Night), Modern(?) Times

Not taking his eyes off of her "The mannerisms are... different."

Wigbert, Unknown, Night

Piercing the skull, blood splattered behind it on to the wooden boards that comprised the bridge.
Slumping against him the arms drooped to its side, and it was still.
Gray matter and such now splattered his armor, and his arm was covered in gore that dulled the light so bright.

The sound of falling air and a whoomp of air Heralded the arrival of Ash, her hair still remaining quite fixed above her head, colored a dull silver. Her clothes remaining the same, she had managed to land on to the corpse of the wolf being.
Looking bleary eyed, and surprised, she stared at Wigbert and blinked.
"Let's hurry up and leave, before I open up the Mist and let something else in.

Standing up rather shakily she stumbled as she moved forward in a ghastly gait.

"Neither of you did anything wrong, and Dune, I'm Samantha. Nineteen year old Samantha, in the body of her younger self because of some strange time distortion stuff."
Sighing deeply that spoke of, I'm getting to old for this shit.
"I know it's hard to understand, but if you slip the suit off from my head, you can tell that we're related."
Turning to face Michi, "As for you miss, you mind gracing me with your name? I can't keep calling you Blue."
---
The woma-, Samantha's(?) older body in her full body suit did indeed cover her head, leaving only the mouth exposed. Her eyes were covered with dull white reflective screens, like shades. Curious as it was, she showed no signs of waking, and appeared to be sleeping.

"Raptors, carnivores, nasty and with sharp teeth and claws. They'd tear us apart, you on the other hand... probably could go toe to toe."
Brian sighing and moving furniture (a key had locked some of the heavier objects in place), grunted with the effort to barricade the door.
"The company that owns this place, made the furniture to be quite sturdy, in case of things... like this?"
Tossing her a smaller ring of keys, "Would you mind moving the furniture against the door? I need to treat Ezekiel."

Saoshyan heard a voice, clear as day and clearly not heard by Ezekiel as he groaned.
Why delay his fate? He will die. You had chosen and have doomed him.

Dune and Michi, Near where The Golden Gate Bridge used to be (at Night), Modern(?) Times

Michi blinked again. Now they were talking about time travel? "Uh... My name is Michi. I'm a Shaman of my people... who don't appear to be anywhere near here. Where... where are we, exactly? Why does nobody else have fluorescent skin or eyes? Why was I told you were going to destroy worlds?"

Leigh and Saoshyan, Lobby, New York City, Night. Modern(?) Times
No. Saoshyan thought back, shaking his head to rid it of such invasions. You have no power to decide the fates of these people, Angra Mainyu. You will not lead me astray.
He set his jaw firmly, and helped Ezekiel sit down. He seemed to be in a great deal of pain. Saoshyan felt awful for it. He hadn't been able to help, and Ezekiel was suffering the consequences of it.

Dune and Michi, Near where The Golden Gate Bridge used to be (at Night), Modern(?) Times

The confusing nature of the situation was starting to get to him.
"I don-" he walked over to the unconscious woman on the ground.
"Time Tra-?" he crouched down over her and began to remove her mask.

Wigbert, Unknown, Night
Wigbert moved to her quickly, helping her stay up with his clean arm, and trying to brush some of the brain and blood off his other. He used the semi-clean arm to light up the path, slightly but was better than dark.
"Lead me if you must." Wigbert said quietly.

Leigh and Saoshyan, Lobby, New York City, Night. Modern(?) Times
Leigh made sure to spare room in her memory core for the images of the feathered lizards as they prowled and threw themselves at the door, claws screeching down the glass and metal. She absently took the key from Brian and proceeded to manoeuvre a few benches against the door, even scraping out sections of the floor with her claws to give the edges something to lean into.
After she had finished she moved back to where Brian had gone, through to the back room, where the arab man had dragged the one that had been trapped in the door. She wanted to get some other opinions on what was going on, though; she still kept her aural sensory apparatus attuned for any untoward sounds

Alexei, Omega, Modern(?) Times

Alexei was stunned into silence. Whatever doubts he had, perished in the sight of such a display of advanced technology. It was all true! This is the future.

He had trouble vocalising what he wanted to say. What could he say? The world he had known was long gone, and the principles he had always adhered to in physics and mathematics, no longer would help him in this strange new place.

"Where..." he finally managed to blurt out to Evan, "...where are we going?"

Removing the mask the figure underneath it was clearly Sam, albeit older and looking the worse for lack of sleep. Almost serene and angelic, her face was easily matched to how she looked when she was younger(?).
---
Michi got a long stare from Samantha(?), glancing back at dune as he bent over to examine her older body(?).
"I'm trying to save worlds, not destroy them. Look, I'm sure there is a safe place we can explain how things are running, and here isn't one of them."

Directing her voice towards Dune, "Mind carrying Me-.. My body for a bit? If I'm thinking right, we should be able to go to a crossroads of sorts, to get things straight."
---
As the trio and-a-half spoke, a fog began to roll in from the sea. Creeping in, the neighing of a horse could be heard, along with the clank of metal, hooves, and a the voice of another woman.
---
Pushing Wigbert away, Ash grabbed the remaining horse and began to walk to the mist. Weaving with one hand, the other holding on to the horse for support.
It began to roll on them both as they moved.
Soon the sounds of the ocean could be heard, the smell of it clear as ever. A beach was in the distance and figures were on the sand.

All of them together in the back hall, Brian gave a nod of thanks to Saoshyan, and moved through another door in to a small office.
Door ajar, if one walked in they would see an array of screens, a small fridge, 3 phones hooked on to the wall, a large grey metal cabinet, a large box on the wall with a red cross on it, and small pieces of furniture and chairs.
Brian moved to the medical box, and quickly unpacked a few things, moving with intent to treat Ezekiel.
---
Of all the things there, 2 objects took most of any attention to the wandering eye.
The screens displaying numerous areas of the office building, including the front, now obscured with foliage and raptors attacking the door.
The other was a lap top, slim black and lying on the control panel for the screens, it was on with a page of text in plain and simple English.
---
There are greater evils then Angra Mainyu, and they are staring right at you., the voice said in a whisper, fading in to the background for Saoshyan.

"Getting some equipment, for instance, clothes, weapons, food, water, transportation." As the disc whirred through air in near silence, it entered a large circular vent opening, lit by lights in rows on the wall.

Leigh and Saoshyan, Lobby, New York City, Night. Modern(?) Times
No. You shall not lead me astray, no matter what lies you pour into my mind. Now, begone devil. You have no place here. Saoshyan thought resolutely. He could not allow a single iota of doubt into himself. He'd seen magi who began to doubt. It was... Not a pretty sight. Horrible, twisted flesh shaped by forbidden spells.
He decided that even if there was another evil at work, Angra Mainyu would have something to do with it, at the least.

He looked disinterestedly at the strange black device. The symbols on the screen were nonsense to him, so he looked past it at the strange moving paintings of the building, entranced.

However, his exhaustion soon overcame him, and he leaned against the wall, and slid into a sitting position. He rested his eyes for just a moment, figuring they would wake him if he was needed.
He had used for more magic than he should have. It had been dangerous, but he survived.

Wigbert, Near where The Golden Gate Bridge used to be (at Night), Modern(?) Times
Wigbert was happy he didn't need to carry her.
'Tough girl.' he thought, somewhat happily. Not like some of the frail pilgrims he helped before... THIS happened. He bit his lower lip realizing he must have dropped his helmet somewhere. Hopefully nobody would aim for his face.
(German- "Are we heading anywhere specific? I am starting to feel tired.") which was true, he was in a battle most of the day, and this was mentally taxing. He sighed when it seemed she didn't hear, and climbed on his horse. The fog was starting to bother him, after a few moments of trotting along on his horse. Never a good omen. Still, he could smell the ocean, and that brightened his day up, he loved the coast, it reminded him of the Languedoc. He smiled warmly, keeping pace with Ash.

Dune and Michi, Near where The Golden Gate Bridge used to be (at Night), Modern(?) Times

"A crossroads? What do you mean?"

Her ears perked at hearing the new noise, and her hand went instinctively to her sword again as she turned to face it. She didn't want another one of those gun things pointed at her for the third time in as many hours...

Aeronwen, In a Mall at Night, Modern Times(?)

"You my dear are in the wrong place in the wrong time."

The three of them, the sorceress, the wolf and the maiden, were trapped in their own bubble of time. Glass flew hither and thither sending everyone around them into a frenzy, yet none of reached them. Things had turned for the stranger including that even though she hard the words, neither figures mouth moved, were they using telepathy? The words came though clearer, she knew the exact meaning of them, were they using their own spell? The other's words came through jumbled reflecting her failure to cast the spell properly, hoping they were she dropped her spell, already feeling the weight of the exhaustion lift from her shoulders.

"(Welsh-What's happening)" She asked quizzically.

(Dune, Michi, and Wigbert), Near where The Golden Gate Bridge used to be (at Night), Modern(?) Times

Dune placed the mask in a pocket of his rucksack before lifting the adult Sam into his arms and off the ground.

"When we find somewhere safe, we'll have time for questions right?"

When he heard the horse he turned to watch the fog.

Alexei, Omega, Modern(?) Times

Alexei needed to sit down. There are only so many revelations you can have in one day, and going into space would have been enough for most.

"Are there any others here, like you and me? You know...time travellers?"

The term sounded ridiculous to him, even in the face of indisputable proof that he was one.

Pryderi, Near the River Thames, Modern(?) Times

It was useless.

Being in this new, unknown places was enough to turn the attempt at sleep into a constant vigil for any threat. Even the flutter of pigeon wings sent him flying out of the little den, scratching at shadows. When the dawn broke, the street lay silent, all for the chorus of birds and domestic pets. Still tired and now eager to break his fast, with bleary eyes he walked ever onwards to the smell of greasy, fat-rich food.

Hopefully this trip would be of use.
