Nicely done... Sweet I too said all this years that Sims is the most evil game ever made on this planet :D

liked the whole metaphors part. Don't buy this game ... it's a waste of time :D and its the game that made a shame for the whole industry buy just sucking dry the costumers from money with each expansion.

i dont even know what to say. . .

I never really thought of doing anything evil with the sims....until now. anyway great review as always.

When he said you could trap them in a tiny room and watch them starve I remembered I did that on the Sims 2 then he said if your a bitter antisocial dickhead and you've alienated anyone whos ever loved you and you like to think your funny and your dying inside I thought he just described me which made me a little depressed.

Didn't think much of this one. Lots of playing to the crowd, nothing new said. We've heard all the 'casual gamers are girly-girls' tropes before, just like we've heard all the Sims-as-real-job/empty-suburbia tropes before. The only thing more boring than those old saws is the I-hate-women stuff. Yeah, yeah, very shocking/politically incorrect/whatever the hell you were going for. Next please.

EDIT: "Aaaaah, but you've just registered solely to post that little bit of displeasure, that makes you even more boring than he, aaaaaahhhh" Yes, yes, I know.

Ok review, but why not get Gametraders Robina (Echo) to send you Ghostbusters.

Ditto. I get he's a professional troll, and I'm normally a big fan, but my bloody DAD does the women are evil trope.

Nice to know I'm not the only one with a low opinion of the Sims.

This wasn't funny enough for me to let the misogyny slide. These videos have gone down severely in quality, which is very sad because ZP used to make me laugh my ass off. *sigh*

I wasn't expecting this game to be reviewed. it was fucking hil-ar-iouse
best he's done in quite a while! I still like the sims, just not the added cost that EA keeps taking on with DLC. good job.

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Oh I can't breathe that is so funny, and I play the Sims and I am a girl, yet I'm unable to find it offensive cause it's the truth about 99.9% of Sims players. Keep up the good work Yahtzee. This review is Full of WIN!

Sims 1: interesting, fun, needs more options.
Sims 2: WRONG options. Being a paragon of whatever personality type is not enjoyable. The other add-ons were nice.
Sims 3: Makes Yahtzee believe (not so) secretly that he may have directly and irreversibly injected estrogen into both brain and body. And needs pool tables.

Seriously though, Mr. B. C. "Yahtzee" has a job and reasonably large fanbase, even if it's just from one (not so) lousy website. Surely there's a female out there somewhere that either does or will go live in (Australia) the land of aggressive spiders to date and/or put out for that man with the (cute and) awesome hat.

lol
its funny 'cause its true

He sounds a bit jaded and pissed, he has to realize tho its not just females that suck, its all of humanity. ^^
Good job keep at it(and maybe go in for a bit of consoling)!!

it was ............................different but he was right about the game being evil

this show will never lose its spark

The thing I love about Yahtzee is that he always puts his finger on exactly what bothers me about a game, yet could never quite understand completely. He does it again here.

Another great review!

I LOL'ed ALOT.

Great review, as always.
Picks out everything I don't like about the game - that whole feeling of it being a strategy game rather than the fun life-simulator-come-sim-killer game it used to be.

Kage Me:

Seedofbilly:
Summer games drought... to be fair there is Red Faction: Guerilla, Overlord 2, The Conduit and a few others you could have ripped apart

Red Faction doesn't have an Australian release date.
Overlord 2 comes out July 9th.
The Conduit, July 16th.

NOT EVERYBODY IS AMERICAN OKAY? <_<

In all fairness, neither am I, I'm Irish, but I guess even we get better release dates than the Aussies, maybe you should be like us and America and start fighting your English founders if you want better release dates, irrelovencies be damned I say

very nicely said about the evil in that game, can only agree.

but really, I didn't get the whole misogyny thing at the end; didn't seem to connect to the rest, and he usually sounds smarter than that regarding gender issues.

anyway, voice sounded tired too. Vacation time, Yahtzee!

We all know we should have stuck at The Sims (sack the expansion packs)

I showed this to my friend, she LOVES the Sims, it made her cry. Bravo Yahtzee.

was she crying because it was really funny or did it hurt her feelings

She was more shocked as to when he mentioned how the "game was playing YOU!" kind of bit, because it is so true.

was it wrong to laugh at that comment because I can imagine it in my head.

It's fine, i found it funny as hell myself.

Yeah...kinda does seem like you did have some relationship issues Yahtzee...

How about we bet which game he's going to review this time. My money is on Overlord II since it lets you kill baby seals and as some might remember from Yahtzee's No More Heroes review he expressed some dislike for those abominations especially at the ending message when he said and I quote "FUCK BABY SEALS". Also there isn't any of that good or evil bull crap like in most games and in staid gives you evil or a different kind of evil.

Emperor_42:
lol

How predictable.

You must be a great friend.

That was a well thought out take on the evilness of the SIMS...they are trying to take control of the world this way!

Side note: Even my wife thought the review was funny.

Didn't like it all that much, gotta be honest.

I mean, I know you usually go off-topic, but there were a bunch of gameplay "upgrades" that went unmentioned, leading me to believe you just played for, say, 3 minutes. And this review seemed more like a The Sims rant, or rather, a The Sims + EA + Women rant.

Oh well. It still made me laugh a little bit.

I personally cant stand the game, it gives me so many choices and punishes me if a go against my choices that i am forced to be stuck with until i die and cannot change them. They have destroyed the fun of the deciding it as you go along aspect of the game.

Are you losing your voice?

All true, all true.
