I am glad to see the women bashing. In my quite humble opinion there isn't enough women bashing...ever.

Hahahaha... a hahaa .... ha... no. Girls don't have cooties, women are not evil, jokes about that matter have even less sophistication than fart jokes, but this thread is one of the best litmus tests I have seen in a while to see user on here is a complete dickhead and/or a fanboy tool. So, er, thanks for that?

In terms of the actual review part - I don't really go for games that aren't games, but toys, either, and I agree with the work-sleep-pattern-thing. It's creepy how many people are drawn into that game.

Yahtzee, you need your own religion, because people who speak this much truth usually are referred to as prophets ... or possibly that one crazy homeless guy that lives in a dumpster around the corner.

Yahtzeism has a nice ring to it.

I didn't find it funny, to be honest.

Usually love Yatzhee but...

Go back to mommy's apron string now, shoo.

Actually a review of The Conduit would be pretty damn interesting...

(this was supposed to be a reply to another post but now it just looks like it's coming out of nowhere. Probably best to just ignore it then)

Yeah, I felt like that. Usually, he's so good at pointing out misogyny in other games, but this? Whoa. D=

Aww, still no RFG... I was looking forward to Yahtzee's remarks on that game, because as much as I'm enjoying it, certain faults need to be pointed out to the "It's so awesome it's the best game evar" fans.

The point about the Sims controlling you instead of vice versa was indeed brilliant. But anyone else slightly disturbed by his portrayal of a vagina as a monstrous, blood-soaked maw at the end?

I must share my surprise with others here that there hasn't been an Overlord 1 or 2 review. As for Sims... He already stated my thoughts on it. Luckily, the women I know already know they are evil or I would have to go loopy.

this made me feel happy and sad at the same time. you have my sympathy

Last week was a bit half-assed if you ask me, this week has made up for that though.

And does anyone else think Yahtzee sounds ill?

Disaster Button:
He sounds like he has a throat infection

Yeah, it sounded like he had a sore throat. Hope he gets better.

But yeah, I never really understood the fascination with the Sims. It's just you basically making a bunch of people and letting them live thier lives. Like yahtzee said, you could be a douchebag and kill them, but after awhile, that would get boring.

I think I'll just stick with my Godhand and Mario Kart.

Well, that review went to a strange place.

At least he did bring up the main short coming of this version which is the severe lack of in game content cause they want to sell you everything later. At least Sims 2 while it milked the expansion cow like no tomorrow felt like a complete game when you started.

My friend got the game and tried to make a self sim and then discovered there was no curly hair in the game. When she asked EA why they cut out something so basic that the Sims 2 had out of the box they expressed regret at her annoyance and recommended she buy one of their up coming expansions.

Me, even though it fit the theme of the rest of the review. Line of argument must have been - game played by women - game evil - women = evil, women = vagina (ugh...) = evil vagina! Best thing to end with ever!!

yatzee turns emo.

I always play The Sims games to become the ULTIMATE Sim! I like to be filthy rich, the top of every career possible and have every skill maxed out. But I agree with the routine thing, hence why I try not to get a job on The Sims 3; you can make a ridiculous amount of money painting and writing, so I stick with that and max out everything in the mean-time.

Funny review, though, "Incidently, I'm still not gay" being my favourite part.

It's ok. I don't give a shit about your post count either. :'(

MK Tha Rebel:
I was hoping he'd review The Sims 3, and he did not disappoint. Funny as always.

That's quite funny, because you posted so quickly that you didn't even watch it :))))))

I was just waiting for this review to happen. It finally did! Wasn't as amusing as I'd hoped, though.

99 episodes! I wonder what he'll do for the 100th... and dammit, i think im still the only one who is counting

Anyone else getting a little disturbed by his jokes and attitude lately?

I get the bad feeling that poor ol' yahtzee's either running out of jokes or going through some emotional turmoil. Hell it may even be both.

Yikes, Freudian much? He's right, though. I mean, even MMO's are not unlike work, but at least then you're offered the pretense of human interaction...

I actually considered buying "Sims 3" but Yahtzee killed that desire outright.

I posted a tweet about Sims 3, with a link to the review, and the Sim 3 Twitter account RT'ed my tweet. I don't think they followed the link before they RT'ed me.

I guess Yahtzee is right, EA is the physical embodiment of all of humanity's sins.

To the people who were offended by the misoginy presented in the review, don't take it personal. He is compromised in offending everyone.

That was hilarious, and i dont care for the Sims so this seems like an accurate representaion of how i would feel

Really? How so?

I think Yahtzee could use the services of the Relationship Problem Thread.

I really enjoyed this review only because my ex used to play the sims constantly and I could never figure out why.

Macgyvercas:
i was hoping he'd review The Conduit. Oh, well. this should be good.

I KNOW RIGHT! I was hoping for the same thing. Yet I forgot games where he lives don't get released the same time we get it.

on topic- OMG I'm ROFLMFAO from this 'review' X'D I hope it never stops. Only until I'm 80 and I'm watching football and documentaries to relive the good ol' day in which ZP will be in!

Wow, such bitter cynicism in this review. Been there. On topic, I never got exactly what people see in the Sims games, I've played every game for approximately 1 hour before getting terminally bored.

EA's evil, hehe, that was pretty good

Its syphilis, it explains the mental state and the hatred for women.

I've been feeling that as well. I want to feel concerned but I only hear the guy 5 minutes a week and having seen some of his reviews it's hard to really tell when Yahtzee is angrier than normal.
