Careful what you say about our accent, or that'll be you on our chopping block!
lol....It my mother is a Liverpudlian, Ive grown up hearing a northern English accent. I hold nothing against the British.
There's a reason MovieBob suppresses his regional accent for his videos. She's got a lovely voice, but the twang is strong and it's frankly a bit distracting from the content. Doesn't really look like a game designed for people who are long-term fans of the Fable IP. I mean, you're probably at least late 20's if you enjoyed Fable 1 when it was relevant, and this looks like it has enough complexity to keep a 10yo entertained for at least 20 minutes.
Fable died pretty much after the lost chapters expansion, two was no where near as good and three was the last nail in the coffin for me. prime example of oversimplifying gameplay to the point were theres no challenge. both fable 2 and 3 i didn't even bother in healing myself since the death penalties didn't hinder me, only died once on Fable 3 to an attack i could have avoided if i had a reason to other then getting knocked over for a second longer.
... Please tell me you did not just compare a Liverpudlian accent to a Yorkshire accent! D:< It's pronounced "Liverpool", not "Livehpewl".
I like her accent. Think its kind of sexy actually.
I know.. I couldn't finish the video, stuck it on mute to see some gameplay, read the writen review and then got on with my life.
Jesus I liked Fable 3 and I don't even wanna play this it just looks shit... Okay, I'm sorry I gotta say it, I love that accent, it's so cute.
I'm glad you're here to say my thoughts for me... Now I don't have to comment on how Houston doesn't sound like her at all.
Star Fox 64 took just less than an hour to complete
Hmm, sounds like she would have hated playing Phantasy Star Online if she hated the money system in this.
1 was great 2 was awesome 3 can kiss my ass and this game ain't even worth my time. Plus making The Journey an Kinect only title pisses me off to the point where im done with the franchise.
Never thought I would be tue one to say this but this is getting sort of racist. Also, a xbla game greenlight by a major publisher sucks? Shocking! P.S. A Fable game sucks? Shocking!
I never gave a crap about Fable, but even I somehow feel sadness about this :/
It's a shame, my little brother wanted me to buy this but it doesn't look worth it. If the first three Fables are any indication, getting a heard start on the gold count is a meaningless benefit. I haven't heard this reviewer before. I like them though, an entertaining and direct review. I hope to hear more of them~! (And I have to confess, I too love the accent.)
Aw, I was hoping that when she used the word 'creatures', she would say 'critters'. Would've fit the accent perfectly. I feel guilty for focussing so much on the accent and totally ignoring the content of the review.
Your voice has that cute, bubbly thing going on. Makes me smile ^^ OT: your video review sounded a little too much like you were reading directly from a script at times, but the content itself was well written and thoroughly covered all the points I wanted to know. If you can speak a little less jarringly, especially between points, and could make it sound more like a fluid conversation, you're set. That's my opinion :D
The game may not be good but it has provided a new avatar :3
The first game was so good... The series had so much potential... What happened? WHAT HAPPENED, MICROSOFT???? WHY???? WHY?!?!?!?! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY *Falls to knees shirtless in rain, crying*
Each successive game seems to have been a series of tradeoffs. First was fun, ahead of its time. (I still play it today and the landscapes are gorgeous)
Can I join you? I've been working on my abs and think I'd look pretty awesome getting all worked up shirtless in the rain. And people, yeah, that's a Southeastern US accent. Jodie's is actually quite charming. Though people tend to stereotype about it. And some of us drop our accent when we are 12 years old by trying to mimic the way the men in Goodfellas speak (Damn, I was a weird kid. I still have jarringly sharp "i"'s and "y"'s as a result of that).
Of course. Your spots over there, made sure to pick a spot that wasnt too muddy. And on her accent, since that seems to be the real topic here - to be perfectly honest I think her voice is rather bland. Or maybe monotone would be a better word. Dont hang me guys, just a little constructive criticism.
Hey! i am a Oklahoman... oh wait i don't care, i have an Accent from Southern England (Changed my American accent to it) but back on topic i really don't see me watching reviews done by her, i can't stand South american accents to begin with
Is that an American Accent? No one I know talks like that, though I might live near too many Texans. OT: I don't think Peter Molyneux was even involved in this one, probably for good reason. Well, this is where the exhaustive milking comes in and Lionhead is later disposed of or absorbed into another dev-team.
Its not a great game, having now had a chance to play it, but I think its still worth the points. Its 800 points and gives you quite a fun little co-op battle game, coming into its own when you get a bit of couch co-op on the go. Pretty graphics, nice soundtrack and sound effects and Fable fans will get a few "heh..."'s over some of the parodies of the Fable world that come into play. It really is just a button masher though, with perhaps the boss battles being the only slightly challenging part of the game. I think its safe to say that if you're a Fable fan then its worth picking this game up but if you've not got much love for the series then probably best to hang onto your points.
What the hell is wrong with some of you!? We all got accents I personally find her voice cute.

Damn, every time Jodie puts out a review all you lot can talk about is the girl's accent!
For the record I happen to think her voice is simply gorgeous!
I kind of saw this coming though. I mean the Fable games themselves are going downhill so to make a cutesy co-op game featuring the most "beloved" characters just smacks of desperation on Lionhead/Microsoft's part. Fable isn't quite at that level yet as a franchise.
