Have you been listening to old school zz-top and/or clutch recently? Getting that vibe.
Another great song. Love the vibe I'm getting on this one.Makes me wanna go back to play the game.
The Scooter impression made me laugh really hard, very spot on Gav! Great song, and the guitar twang really makes the song and captures the vibe of the game really well. It really makes me want to play the game again. Also, SIREN BROFIST! :D
According to his twitter he will do it eventually =)
Bravo, Gav. Bravo. This song was an instant hit for me. I honestly thought Silver and Steel would always be my favourite... until I heard this.
Who the hell hates Irish accents?! (Other than the bad people who hate the Irish, and the only reason they hate the accent is because they hate everything about the Irish. Regardless of how awesome the thing might be.)
:) Cool. Can you think of any accent that was hard to get down for a song?
Awesome. Track.
Wow, that must be the only Dan Bull rap I actually dislike. Bleh...
Really!? With no electronic voice fiddling!? Just..... HOW? Great song by the way.
Fantastic song. Never had much of an interest in Borderlands 2, but this made me a little bit interested. A little bit. The opening also reminded me of RAGE a bit.
Going by what he says on twitter during his rants... practice practice practice!
It's pleasantly upbeat and lighthearted in a way that's hard to describe. Someone before me said "outback-esque" and it kinda fits into what I mean.
Great song Gav, really had a Borderlands feel to it And as mentioned, your Scooter impersonation was spot-on. Though this song sound's familiar... I just don't know from where.
My little sister is horrible at accents. One time she tried to do Jamaican accent and she goes OT: As others have said your impression is uncanny (Didn't play the game but watched my friend talk to that guy). I would have thought it was a sound file from the game if I hadn't already been prepared for it by Joker's Song and Khajit like to sneak. I can only kind of do an Irish accent because of my Grandma, but you're insane! I really like how the lyrics flow in this one, especially droppin' them dollars verse. Great job! EDIT: Oh, wait! I forgot to ask. You read fanfiction? Is this just a joke I'm missing? I didn't play the game. "Fan fiction told me that he died all alone"
That line is a pun on the method in which (Minor spoiler) TK met his demise in the first game ;)
I wondered if it was a joke. You sometimes put sneaky stuff like that in... Also isn't it like 4 in the morning in Ireland XD
Excellent stuff once again Gav; why do you have to keep making the list of games I need to play bigger? It's not fair on my wallet. :(
Yes it is, I just came home from the pub
Did the song remind anyone else strongly of Uncle Kracker's Follow Me? Just something about it...
I'm just in the middle of playing the first game. (Yeah, I'm a slowpoke, I know.) I take it the sequel is worth buying, then? While I do enjoy most of your songs, I have a feeling this one's going to end up on my list of favourites; everything about it screams 'fun'.
Wow, getting a huge Firefly vibe from that guitar intro. Never played Borderlands 1 or 2, (mostly because it looks more like a multiplayer experience and I'm more of a single player campaign kinda guy) but I was toe tapping throughout that whole song so that can't be a bad thing.
There's another song that starts off with a similar guitar bit of yours isn't there? I'm sure of it, but I can't remember which one it is! And nor can I find it!
Wow! | |
That's a damn good song // Now I've not played either of the games, but this feels like it suits the worlds that are in Borderlands -M
I love this, it's great! This should have been the intro song to the actual game. And it's so damn catchy.
This was amazing, Gav. Can't... stop... listening.
Thanks! Always nice to see such a universally positive response to a new song :)
I felt the sequel improved on the first in almost every way. I spent a very happy 50 or so hours on it :)
Well, that's all the recommendation I need. Borderlands 2 is going on the Christmas list. :D
Lordy, that was a tough month without any Miracles of Sound... I was starting to get the shakes. Loved the song (as always) fun, funny and frantic in the true Borderlands style. Plus, hats-off to video guy Justin, doing justice to a great song and a great game! Also, RIP T.K. Baha... RIP.
Huh, showed it to a friend, and apparently they think the guitar sounds aweful *shrug*
Huh, here I had gotten home, finished my errands, finished my homework, made some coffee, and was ready to get into a game of GW2. Then I listen to this again, having enjoyed it so much at work. Now I am compelled to play more Borderlands 2. Wicked guitar, Gav. That really gave a dusty, rugged feel to the whole thing. Now to go set some bandits' heads on fire.
I guess you could call it a Sisfist... Brilliant work. I can see why you are giving yourself a month per song now! This captured the feel of the game rather nicely, yes; that scooter impression was uncanny. And it's nice to know I'm not the only one that hates CL4P-TP!
Two songs in one month (Wigglesticks doesn't count because it's one of your low-effort songs)? I thought something was off with Blood of the Creed. Have to say, I'm really liking this song. In my opinion, Blood of the Creed had an inconsistent beat and didn't really fit the tone of Assassin's Creed. This is completely different. I love it very much.
As much as I hate waiting, I have to say, the longer polish time has done absolute wonders for already-good music. Have loved these past few months.
wicked awesome song gavin, and i'm proud to say i just bought the single on iTunes ^^ Captcha: Half done. You wish i was half done Cpatcha, you wish >;3
Though I loved everything you've previously done, the extra time spent on this song really shows! The lyrics are awesome, the melody is incredibly memorable, the feel of it is excellent. Oh, and the Scooter impersonation is downright uncanny! Haven't been able to get this song out of my head since I first listened to it.

Not only does that frighten me a bit, I'm starting to get some horrible flashbacks of my redneck parents.
For you maybe. My luck is any accent I try comes out the same garbled mess no matter how many times I hear it. -_-' (according to the boyfriend, any accent I try just eventually sounds like a really bad Ringo impersonation)
Well, time to drown my sorrows in chicken.
