Young Horses free update Bugsnax & The Isle of Bigsnax release date April 28, 2022 PS4 PS5 Nintendo Switch Xbox One Series X S Game Pass PC Steam Epic Games Store

Bugsnax & The Isle of Bigsnax Launches This Month, Including on Switch, Xbox, PC

Developer Young Horses has announced that Bugsnax & The Isle of Bigsnax, a major free update for the base game, will launch with an April 28, 2022 release date. Plus, in addition to arriving on its launch platforms of PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, Bugsnax & The Isle of Bigsnax will also arrive on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and Xbox Game Pass on April 28. That is a whole lot of Bugsnax to munch on.

The free update will add about three hours of new content to the game, including a new story and quests involving a jungle-themed island that has risen from the sea. And yes, there are giant Bugsnax now. To start playing the new content, you just have to talk to the character Snorpy after completing his associated sidequests. You will discover new mechanics like “volatile shrink spice” as you play. Additionally, you can customize your hut now with furniture and accessories, and there also… Bughats now. (You’ll see in the Bugsnax & The Isle of Bigsnax release date trailer.)

Young Horses says there are also “juicy surprises” beyond what has been announced today, which is easy to believe, considering the developer shoved some pretty shocking surprises into the ending of the base game. Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PC players will know that same shock when Bugsnax & The Isle of Bigsnax arrives later this month.
