The Capcom Showcase gave us an extended look at Exoprimal gameplay and story. This not-Dino Crisis new IP from Capcom looks as chaotic as its reveal trailer from a few months ago, with players gathering up in groups to tear through dinosaurs big and small. Today’s Exoprimal gameplay presentation particularly gave us a look at the abilities that each different exosuit offers, in addition to the modes that you’ll play through when getting to know your suits.
The gameplay also introduces Leviathan, a creepy AI overlord that you’ll surely get to know as you make your way through the game. See Capcom’s Exoprimal gameplay below.
Capcom further announced that Exoprimal has a closed network test on the way. The test allows players to experience Dino Survival mode before the game launches next year. Test one begins July 11, with two additional sessions coming July 25 and August 7. You can sign up on the game’s website.
In other news, we found out in March that Dino Crisis producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi is working on Exoprimal too, so it’s safe to say that Capcom’s newest dinosaur franchise is in good hands. Exoprimal comes to PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X| S sometime in 2023.
