How to get Cindercloth Scraps in Hytale

Cindercloth Scraps is one of the final tier items you need to craft some of the very late-game armor, tools and weapons in Hytale. It’s the tier before the very best-in-slot pieces in the far end-game of the adventure game mode. To make it easier to find, here’s a look at how to get and use Cindercloth Scraps in Hytale.

Where to find Cindercloth Scraps in Hytale

To get Cindercloth Scraps in Hytale, there are actually two major locations we are aware of.

The first one is over the Overworld. Cindercloth Scraps often drop from Devastated Lands, Charred Woodland and Cinder Wastes areas. In these areas, you can find enemies called Burnt Knights, which are essentially a type of undead mob. You can see them via their charred metallic armor and burnt flesh tone. Killing these enemies tends to drop 1-2x Cindercloth Scraps per kill.

These are often easiest to find in the ruin POIs around the map. However, you can also find them between the fractured lands with the lava flows as well while exploring around.

On the other hand, you can find them underground too. When you dig down far enough, you should start coming to layers where there’s more lava and tunnels surrounding them. You should eventually come to a point where you find the Incandescent Skeleton types down there, too, which also have a chance to drop the Cindercloth Scraps.

How to use Cindercloth Scraps

To use Cindercloth Scraps, you typically need to upgrade your workbenches to level 3. These include the standard Workbench, Armorer’s Workbench and Blacksmith’s Anvil too. You’ll typically need a lot of Shadoweave Cloth to upgrade the regular and armorer’s benches though, so keep that in mind while exploring the area.

When they are upgraded, you can start making the Adamantite-themed armor, tools and weapons, which require the Adamantine ingots and Cindercloth pieces. To make these sorts of items, you need the following amounts of Cindercloth Scraps:

  • Adamantine tools typically need around 4x Cindercloth per craft
  • Between 3, 4, 6 and 7 Cindercloth for the Armorer’s Workbench: 3 for the boots and shield, 4 for the gloves, 6 for the leggings and 7 for the chest
  • 3x Cindercloth for each of the basic Adamantine weapon crafts

There’s probably more recipes we need, but haven’t managed to get all the materials, yet, so maybe there’s more items that need Cindercloth. Should be helpful, though otherwise.
