EA, Google Stadia Connect, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds,

Google premiered its April Stadia Connect today, giving fans an update on the platform’s upcoming additions. EA might have made the biggest splash of the show, however, when a partnership to bring Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, FIFA, and Madden to Stadia was revealed. The three aforementioned titles start to launch in fall with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, while two additional, unspecified EA games seem to be planned for 2021. Additionally, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and its Cold Front season pass are now free to play for Stadia Pro members.

PUBG will offer cross-play with consoles and some Stadia-exclusive content. Standard members can purchase the game individually for $29.99 or for $39.99 to have Cold Front included.

Come May 1, Zombie Army 4: Dead War, SteamWorld Heist, and The Turing Test will be free to claim for Stadia Pro as well, with Thumper leaving before April is out.

Co-op game Get Packed and Square Enix’s Octopath Traveler are both available to purchase today, too. Rock of Ages 3 was revealed to be coming in June.

Co-op game Crayta and arcade skateboarding title Wave Break will be launching exclusively on Stadia; the former will arrive in the summer. Embr, a game that puts players in the boots of firefighters, was confirmed to be coming first to Stadia and PC, with its early access period beginning on May 21.

Google’s Phil Harrison confirmed that “more than 100 new games” will be coming to the platform before 2020 comes to an end.

Google recently made its Stadia Pro membership free for two months in an effort to help alleviate the stress of quarantine measures enacted as a response to the coronavirus pandemic. Players participating in the trial will gain access to today’s newly announced free Stadia Pro titles as well as the nine previous titles already available for free on the service.
