zack snyder justice league release date zack snyder's justice league

It’s almost time for the Zack Snyder hype to come crashing to the ground. Zack Snyder’s Justice League is officially landing on March 18 on HBO Max according to three new posters the director released on Twitter. The three, mostly black-and-white posters were titled “Fallen,” “Risen,” and “Reborn,” and in typical Snyder fashion, they make the movie seem really super dramatic and deep. Maybe even more people’s names will be revealed to be Martha!

The first poster, “Fallen,” is of a broken Justice League logo, possibly shattered by the uncaring and unrefined hand of Joss Whedon. The second, “Reborn,” is a play on the famous cover of the classic 1992 comic book “The Death of Superman,” and the final is a film canister with Snyder’s name in red ink. Despite the film not being in black and white, all three posters and a trailer for the movie are, adding an extra special layer of pretentiousness to what is probably going to turn out to be a pretty standard superhero film.

The miraculous release of “The Snyder Cut,” part marketing ploy and part internet meme, has turned into a huge production for Warner Bros., the studio behind Zack Snyder’s Justice League. The now four-hour-long film has required reshoots and massive special effects work as Snyder has turned the movie into a near mini-series in a completely different timeline. There’s a glimpse of a new villain, entirely new plotlines, and even the return of Jared Leto’s Joker. That’s not to mention the fact that, alongside all of this, Ray Fisher and DC Films have had a dramatic and public falling out over issues with filming the original cut under Joss Whedon.

HBO Max has clarified that Zack Snyder’s Justice League will release as a “full-length Max Original feature film,” meaning it will not release in episodes as previously reported.
