Does anyone else think Rick Santorem is nuts?

Its seems to me that he thinks gay people and abortion are directly tied to the bad state of America. He apparently has a grudge against college and higher education in general. Does he really believe this stuff or does he just read lines some puppet master gives him? He scares the crap outta me. Campaign = destroy gay people+ civil liberties+destroy colleges=turn everyone into serfs.

I tend to agree with Rick Santorum. He is a strong believer that the U.S is approaching the same deprived, and immoral state that ROME did so many centuries ago. The lack of morality and lack of culture destroyed Rome. The same applies now in the U.S. I can fully understand Rick Santorums view of this. As many great civilizations throughout history have followed that same direction. Only to be destroyed in the end.

Ignore xpowderx.

As for Rick, there are about a dozen different threads on this site showing how crazy he is. And he probably does agree with what he's saying.

I don't think you'll find anyone on this site who actually even likes Santorum even a little bi-

Nope, I am not kidding. Could only imagine these arguments if the U.S were a state of lets say China. I wonder how many of the arguments or astounding questions asked here would actually survive.

Even though China is communist and takes a many things quite serious. Chinese still have morals. The Chinese stick to those values. Do you believe any of the arguments given on this forum would survive? My brother-inlaw would have to go into hiding. Not because he really did anything wrong. But sole off his lifestyle being against the morality of China. Follow me?

Yes, I do know we are here in the U.S. But the U.S and the West are the only places on this planet where "what we consider moral" is immoral. So as we approach the status of 8 billion people on this planet. One eighth of that is to the world immoral.

While each of us have our own view of the world while we sit in our box. Really how much of that box is reality? When it takes very little to change it.

As such, I agree wholeheartedly with Rick Santorum. Character, Morality and Integrity are values each of us should engage in. He supports that core! Which is why i support him.

Of course you're not the only one who thinks he's crazy. Because he is crazy. God help us if he actually becomes president.

On topic: You'd be hard-pressed to find more than a few hardline social conservatives who think he isn't completely insane.

How the hell are you still kicking around? O.o And then you go ahead and try to compare our "morality" negatively to that of China? To be fair, it makes perfect sense that you would support Santorum... You know, the guy who thinks that our law must equate to "God's Law", that contraception is immoral, that women with rape-babies should accept their gift from god, that porn needs to be banned, and believes that public education should be done away with! Santorum is about two steps away from Pat Robertson. Go the other direction, i.e. away from sanity, and he's two steps away from Fred Phelps.

Oh and, for the record, the destruction of Rome probably has less to do with the society becoming morally depraved and more to do with the capital being sacked repeatedly by Germans. No society has ever collapsed due to being too reasonable or accepting.

OT: They guy's fucking nuts, his views are despicable, and I sincerely hope that he and his ilk are a dying breed. There are enough lunatics trying to sabotage humanity without a major political candidate attempting to gain power and throw America back into the 19th century.

How much do you know about homosexuality in China? You Chinese? In fact most of the world laughs at us because we still cling to such beliefs. Also you know people used to persecute left handed people because they thought they were evil.

lol come on man, I'm not a fan of the president, but he isn't as bad as some people make him out to be. I think he's just run of the mill, although I do take issue with him breaking promises about things like Guantanamo bay(who does that hell hole still exist?), or getting the US involved in Libya.

Yes, I believe Santorum's as nutty as a fruit cake. I think he's one of those people who just slipped through the cracks of society, and avoided getting institutionalized.

Most rational people understand there is something wrong with the man, he is so disconnected from reality that he could pass for a poor joke.

Gay people are agents of Satan designed to bring America down. True or False?

Obama is a Muslim secret agent who infiltrated the highest office in the world and is in league with the democrats. True or False?

Doctors that perform abortions put the fetus back into the womb so they can abort it again just to spite the pro life groups that bomb abortion clinics. True or False?

These questions are for xpowderX only.

...

Huh...

Yes, one can see similarities with the fall of Rome and now (to large of a nation, trying to bring government onto another people, attempts to get more people housing bankrupts the nation, the Church has to much power in politics, etc.) but morality wasn't one of them. Being a whore was considered an honorable profession, the rich had rooms where they threw up in so they can eat more food, you could smack any poor person across the face, throw a little money at them, and be legally free from any charges, watching men killing each other or being trampled in horse races, slavery, the list goes on.

Volf:

nuttier than squirrel poo

He's so ridiculously fundamentalist and he's trying to force his views on a country that has no national religion. In fact, the treaty of Tripoli specifically states that the U.S. is not a Christian nation. It's ridiculous. There's a reason enlightenment philosophers wanted a separation of Church and State.

Question 1: As to gays being spawns of satan. NO! My brother-inlaw is gay, my youngest daughter is lesbian. I do not judge either by the choices they make in life. I love both!I dont tell either that they are wrong. It is not my place! I am a strong believer in causal and effect. My hope is either I or they will see the light. Often none of us see the light til the effects have already taken place.

Now as to bringing America down? There are many things doing that. All the divisive traits of liberalism have some cause. But then again, those of the extreme conservative rank also play a part. The question should be asked is who are causing racism, class warfare, promiscuity, gender bias in our society?

What elements of that offer prosperity to a U.S citizen? Hmmm>? While I do believe in the individual. I also know that culture and morality must exist for a nation, country or group to be successful.

2: No, I do not believe Obama is a muslim. Nor I dont think Obama really cares about religion as many of us under him in the U.S do. I do believe he was indoctrinated into socialism. As well as a possible dictator. But he definitely is not muslim.

The one thing I do like about Obama is his ability to show how whack extreme socialist agenda is. Gives me and others hope for this november. In fact , yesterday I had a lady tell me(after talking about gas prices)that she cannot wait for november. She also told me she hopes it comes very quickly. I had a good laugh at that! Because I know if sponge bob were running for office I would vote him over our current president. It amazes me that the left tries so very hard to break the sentiment shared by me and others. Why I laugh when watching the media try to kill GOP candidates. Those on the left IMO dont get it. Which isnt a problem.

Ill just be smiling after nov 2nd! May even break open a bottle of wine(I dont drink, but wife can).

3. Interesting question, some active imagination working there. While I am quite pro life. I do not acknowledge delusional and extreme allegations from either side. Regardless if it is pro lifers or the pro abortion groups. I believe each individual state should vote on its laws for such. That the federal government should not make laws on such a personal and private matter. That is of course from both sides pro and non! For me "Roe vs Wade" should not exist. As it is a mandate of a federal law.

Alright that's fair enough I guess.

There is a headline that sums him up pretty well

Rick Santorun: Good Man, Wrong Century

In his heart he wants what is best for the country and the people, the problem is that what he thinks is the best went out of fashion a couple hundred years ago. If this was the 19th century I would probably support him, but it is not the 19th century.

L. M. A. O. "Extreme socialist agenda". That's one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time. ^_^ Obama is an extreme socialist in the same way that Ahmajinedad is an extremist social progressivist!

Socialist is a popular word these days. If liberals are socialist then that would make Republicans fascist. No don't jump to extremes. The most socialist type thing he has done so far is cave into the banks and the auto companies who insisted that that America would burn to the ground the next day if they didn't get their money. These banks and auto makers are the same people that espouse capitalism and fling the word socialist around but when they make a huge mess of things they show up for a handout. That is hardcore hypocrisy.

I'm just waiting for him to goof and make his version of a 'Strong' add.

But, yes, he's a nutter.

There is a fine line between socialism and fascism. I often hear conservatives are fascist. That seems to be a common generality as well.

Well since we are talking class warfare. Would you be willing to pay the 45000 dollars each and every citizen in the U.S needs to pay just to bring our debt down to 0. Of course that is just for today, it does not count any future incurring debt.

Since the evil bankers and auto companies are taking our money. We should do what the wall street protesters and many others want. Spread the wealth. But in the same spread the debt since it is directly associated with wealth. Sound good to you? Ill do it!
