Best Wriothesley Teams to Use in Genshin Impact
Reverse Melt
Wriothesley | Bennett | Xiangling | Zhongli
This first team revolves around the Melt reaction which occurs when Cryo and Pyro damage mix on a target. Melts do some really nice damage and always are worth considering building around for a high damage comp. With Wriothesley being a Cryo on-field damage dealer, he’ll be the one triggering the reactions the most. In this case it’s a Reverse Melt that we’re going for as Pryo will be inflicted first and then Wriothesley will be triggering Melts while on field.
To pull this team comp off you need two strong sources of Pyro. We’ll be using Bennet and Xiangling. These two are 4-Star Pyro staples for a reason, they have incredible synergy. Bennett will boost the teams damage output and also heal with his Burst. Xiangling can then put down Guoba and use her Burst to trigger a ton of off field Pyro application. Then in comes Wriothesley to Cyro punch everything in to oblivion while getting those sweet Reverse Melt procs. Zhongli is just there to provide the team with incredible shield protection and resistance shred, and you can swap him out for Layla if you don’t have him! Regardless of which you choose, this team build for Wriothesley in Genshin Impact is definitely one of the best.

Freeze Comp
Wriothesley | Yelan | Kazuha | Diona
Freeze is a little more situational than Melt. When it’s against enemies who are susceptible to it, wow is it an amazing reaction. You’ll freeze all the things, deal a ton of damage and take very little in return. The only thing is that there are quite a few enemies that resist or are immune to being frozen. That can take a little wind out of this teams sails, but it’s still awesome when it works and the raw damage this team can do is pretty high anyway.
Diona is an excellent choice as she can provide both a bit of shielding as well as a bit of healing. This is a perfect mix for Wriothesley as he hates being interrupted during a combo. Yelan has some nice Hydro application and super high off field damage. She’ll be key in supplying the Hydro needed for Freezes. Her Burst alongside Wriothesley’s DPS is pretty wild on it’s own though, this duo can wipe out a boss very quickly! If you don’t have Yelan she can be swapped out for Xingqiu for a similar result. Lastly Kazuha has amazing grouping and as the rest of the team don’t have wide AOE, this plays an important role in enabling the team to get their reactions off. Kazuha can be swapped out for Lynette or Sucrose if you don’t have him.
